Creating Quick Tool Palettes in AutoCAD
Creating quick tool palettes
Populating tool palettes from a block library drawing can be quite time consuming, as each block has to be manually dragged on to a tool palette. The steps below describe how to populate a tool palette with multiple blocks in one simple action.
1. In any AutoCAD drawing, open up the tool palettes by pressing Ctrl and 3 simultaneously. Alternatively navigate to... Ribbon Tab: View > Palettes > Tool palettes.
2. Open Design centre by pressing Ctrl and 2 simultaneously. Alternatively navigate to..... Ribbon Tab: View > Palettes > Design centre.
4. Right click the mouse on the blocks heading and select create tool palette from the drop down list that appears.
5. Close down design centre
6. Notice a new palette has been created containing all of the blocks in the drawing that you selected!
