Apply materials to solids
How can I apply materials to solids that I have created?
The easiest and most reliable way is to turn a 3D solid into a mass element! Right click the 3D solid, move the cursor over Convert To and select Mass Element from the fly out. On the command line choose whether or not to delete existing geometry and press enter to finish the command. Now select and right click the mass element and choose the edit mass element style from the drop down list. Select the materials tab in the dialogue box and select a material from the drop down in the material definition column.
