Subscript & Superscript

Although AutoCAD has many subscript and superscript SYMBOLS that can be inserted from the MTEXT EDITOR, it is useful to be able to insert you own custom subscript or superscript text. To achieve this follow these steps.

Subscript:

1. In the MULTILINE TEXT EDITOR type the text that you wish to appear as subscript, preceded by the caret (^) symbol. E.G H^20

2. Highlight the caret (^) symbol and the text that you wish to change. E.G in H^2O select the caret (^) symbol and the 2.

3. Right click the mouse and select STACK from the drop down list.

The selected text should now appear as subscript text. E.G H2O

Superscript:

1. In the MULTILINE TEXT EDITOR type the text that you wish to appear subscript followed by the caret (^) symbol. E.G E=MC2^

2. Highlight the text that you wish to change and the caret (^) symbol. E.G in E=MC2^ select the 2 and the caret (^) symbol.

3. Right click the mouse and select Stack from the drop down list

4. The selected text should now appear as superscript text. E.G E=MC2
