Revit 2018.2 new feature – resizing Fabrication runs

If you have installed the latest Autodesk Revit 2018.2 update you will hopefully find this time saving addition to the Fabrication toolset very useful. Using ‘Change Size’ you can now re-size an entire selected run of fabrication ductwork, pipework or containment in one go.

The first step is to select the required fabrication run in the normal method, then in the ribbon you will see the new ‘Change Size’ button.

Once activated the ‘Fabrication Parts’ palette will open if it hasn’t been already; you will them be able to input the new size as shown below. Click ‘Finish’ to complete the re-sizing.
