Revit - But I Want White Text On My Title Sheet!

Sometimes you just have to accept a work-around, recolouring your text white in Revit is just a great example of one of those times.

You see black = black and white = black and that’s just the way it has always been.

So, what if you want text to be white so that it stands out on a coloured title sheet border like this:

Well there are two ways to achieve white text (without inserting an image).

1. If it’s a large logo like our Graitec G, then firstly insert and position a graphic of the logo, then edit the region sketch and using lines and splines etc. trace the shape of the logo. Finish the sketch and delete the image.

 2. If you need white text for your general information, labels etc. then edit the text style and colour. White has an RGB of 255, 255, 255 (this will print black though as mentioned earlier) instead set the values to 254, 254, 254. Honestly unless you have the eyesight of a falcon, you’re not going to notice the difference between that and true white.
