This Months Tips & Tricks Focus Is On: Better Looking Fillets
How can I get a better looking fillet in Autodesk Inventor?
There are two different styles of fillets available within Autodesk Inventor. Within the standard fillet dialog you can select either a G1 or G2 fillet type. The default is the standard G1 and the G2 option became available a few releases ago.
G1 type fillet.
This fillet type will be tangential to the adjacent faces.
G2 Type Fillet
This fillet type will allow the continuous curvature to the adjacent faces. This type of fillet will cause changes in curvature to occur gradually, resulting in a much smoother and more aesthetically pleasing transition between faces.
