Tip of the Month

Do you need to extend your bolts through a structural member? Here's a little helpful tip for you.

In this example we have used an RHS and a plate as shown.

Step 1. Create the RHS and place the plate on the Side of the RHS.

Step 2. Create the bolts connecting both the plate and RHS together as
shown.

Step 3. In the bolt properties dialog box select the "Length Tab" and un-tick the "Finish calculation at gap" option.

Result = Bolts extend through the structural member!
