Customer projects undertaken using Advance Steel
The following are a number of projects undertaken with our Advance Steel software. These projects demonstrate a wide range of constructive challenges but all have incredibly complex geometrical problems which Advance Steel has had to solve.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympic Ski Jump
Constructed by Bitschnau GmbH the Olympic ski jump - nicknamed the 'Olympic Cantelever' - was officially opened in December 2008 and will host the International Four Hills Tournament in January 2009. This renown competition has been hosted in the town for the last 55 years.
The spectacular design of the jump has gained international recognition and has been nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award 2009.
Zlote Tarasy Golden Terraces
The architecturally elaborate, aesthetically beautiful Zlote Tarasy Golden Terraces shopping centre in Warsaw, Poland was constructed by the industry specialists Waagner-Biro Stahl-Glas-Technik.
The New Milan Fair
The contemporary vela roof of the New Milan Fair has an increadibly complex design reminiscent of the Alps. The speed at which the 1.3 kilometre long free form roof was modelled was achieved using Advance Steel and its automatic drawing creation.
Bermuda Weather Radar Tower
Designed to help with the prediction of Bermudas' unpredictable weather changes the Radar Tower had to be designed to withstand hurricane velocity winds.

The Neiderwartha Bridge
The Niederwartha bridge - completed in 2008 - which spans the River Elba between Niederwartha and Meissen is the longest cable stayed bridge in Germany and consists of 1232 tonnes of steel.
3V-3 Booster Heater
The 3V-3 Booster Heater designed by Heurtey Petrechem Romania is the latest generation in tubular process fired heaters.
The Zeotermeer UFO
A UFO shaped building in the centre of Zeotermeer Advance Steel was specifically chosen for this project due to its versitility; almost all the beams of this 290 tonne project are curved and so a key required for software was that it was able to handle the complex geometry involved.
Audi N-24 Production Hall
Audi's new production hall located in Inglostadt, Germany covers a huge area of 5750 square metres. The job was so vast that they required software that could work with an unlimited amount of parts.
Norwich Theatre Royal Modernisation
The £10million modernisation of the Theatre Royal, Norwich was reopened in November 2007 and has transformed the Theatre with 7 tonnes of new steel work creating a new Royal Circle.
