SuperSTRESS Tip 5 Structure Sets

The fifth of our user tips involves a very powerful tool in SuperSTRESS called "Structure Sets". You can highlight a selection of members and joints and save them as a structure set, these can then be recalled at any time in graphics, input tables or results tables. You can select your structure set wherever you see a drop down list with ALL or CURRENT listed and there is no limit to the number of structure sets you can have. Also available are "Loadcase Sets" and "Influence Surface Sets".

View Demo

  • Select the members or joints that you wish to save as a structure set by single clicking with the mouse or windowing
  • Go to Edit>>Structure Sets... and press "Save", then you can assign a label to your currently highlighted structure set
  • Now when you deselect your CURRENT structure set you will always be able to recall the saved set in your tables or graphical view by selecting it when you see the ALL and CURRENT options
