Revit Tip - Adding Impact With Sketchy Lines

Add some extra punch to your Revit Views with ‘Sketchy Lines’. Revit offers many ways to present your views, sketchy lines is a relatively new offering that adds more interest. Plans, Elevations, Sections, Walkthroughs and 3D views can all be shown in this way.

Activate Sketchy Lines by picking the ‘Visual Style’ icon on the view control bar – Graphic Display Options... - Sketchy Lines. Two controls are provided, Jitter and Extension.

Jitter indicates the degree of variability in the sketched lines.

Extension indicates how far a model line's endpoints extend beyond intersections.

To enhance the view use the ‘Smooth lines with anti-aliasing’ option.

The two views below demonstrate some of the capabilities.
