Once a door is placed in your project there is no way of knowing which way it should swing unless you show a plan view.
If for example you need to schedule which way the door swings, you would then need to create a parameter that can be scheduled and fill out the fields to suit. What happens if the door swing changes then you need to remember to correct the field?
The Door Side command distinguishes left-wing door (marked L) or right-wing door (marked R), giving you more control of individual door families.
Once you select the Door Side command it automatically selects all the doors within your project and assigns left (L) or right (R) mark.
Note: This command will only assign a left or right mark if it's a single door, so double, turnstiles, sliding (e.g. folding doors) it will display N/A (Not Applicable).
The opening side will be displayed as an instance parameter 'G.Door Side' and can be displayed in the labels and in tables using the Shared Parameter (G.Door Side) created automatically by the command.
If any new door families are added into your project, you will need to run the command again to assign those doors with left (L) or right (R) mark.
