An Overview of the Autodesk Inventor Frame Generator Tool

Inventor is full of incredibly useful design tools which are aimed at increasing productivity in common manufacturing situations, one of these is the “Frame Generator”.

By default, in Inventor, you will have access to many frame member sizes which conform to various standards (BSi, ISO, DIN, ANSI, ETC).

However, if you want to create custom sized frame profiles then it’s not the most obvious option in the menus but easily achievable.

Frame Generator makes creating complex frames faster with quick editing and dynamic previews.

Inventor Frame Generator creates internal frame and external frame assemblies for machines and also in the assembly and weldment environments.

The frameworks can also be intelligently driven utilising ilogic rules.

See our overview video below which explains the Frame Generator function in Inventor in a little more detail.
