Autodesk Fusion 360 is available to download as a free 30 day trial, there is a button to download the installer further on in this blog post.
At the end of you trail period, Fusion 360 standard continues to be free for students, start-ups and hobbyists. Non-profits and businesses turning over less than $100k per year can continue to use Fusion 360 standard for Free.
Autodesk Fusion 360 Standard and Autodesk Fusion 360 Ultimate are available on a term licensing (rental) basis for terms of a month, quarter, year or more. Contact your Graitec Account manager for current pricing and term licensing details.
My Autodesk Account
To sign up for Fusion 360, you will need to create an Autodesk account.
You can use your existing Autodesk account if you have one.
If your company owns a licence of the Autodesk Product Design suite, or the Autodesk Product Design collection, please make sure that you use the Autodesk account associated with your company licence allocation.
This is the Autodesk account associated with your company Email address. Ask your companies Autodesk Account administrator to confirm this by visiting: https://manage.autodesk.com/
Note that you can install Fusion 360 on as many computers as you like. The licence is allocated to your login, not your PC. So, you can log out of your current PC and log in on a different one any time you like.
Because your data is saved in the cloud, you won’t have to worry about files going missing. They will automatically sync to your new machine as you open them.

Security of Autodesk Cloud products
If you have concerns about the security of Autodesk Cloud products, look for the ‘Security white paper’ link, to find out how Autodesk are looking after your data.
After downloading the installer, run the application and follow the prompts. When the Fusion 360 installer finishes, double click on the desktop icon to run Fusion 360 for the first time.
Log in using your Autodesk account, then follow the on-screen prompts to set up Fusion 360 to your preferences.
Coming from AutoCAD? Solidworks? Inventor? No problem – just pick the ‘CAD Experience’ of your choice from the drop down and Fusion will configure its navigation and viewing options to suit your expectations.
Notice the samples folder in the data panel – there is plenty here for you to experiment with.
If you have previously signed up for a trial of Fusion 360, or your trial has expired you will be prompted to buy or register for a free copy.
