Previous Release Use For Desktop Subscription

Desktop SubscriptionWe know that many of you are still transitioning from 2014 to 2015 to get the most innovative tools and be up-to-date on your chosen software. However it may be the case that some of your projects are ongoing using 2014 software which is great if you are on Maintenance Subscription.

With Maintenance Subscription (just incase you didn't know) you have the option and the right to work on three versions back so if you are on 2015 then you will be able to use 2014, 2013 and 2012.

But what if you are on Desktop Subscription (formerly rental) then previously you were limited to only the latest version but now you don't have this problem instead you option to become more flexible on the version of software you use.

Autodesk have made it possible for customers who are on quarterly or annual subscription with us or monthly with them eligible to use previous releases.

This means that you will have the right to use both earlier and current version licences of desktop software to deliver your projects similarly to those on Maintenance Subscription.

Although, not all software is available to be used on previous releases a number of suites are at all levels to incorporate an array of Autodesk software:

As you can see from the image above it is only 2014 that has been opened up to Desktop Subscription customers for previous use but with the ending of upgrades in February 2015 this change will broaden the options that can be chosen by those looking at the flexibility of rental.
