Ready, Set, Go Revit! How to Control the Visibility of Multiple Objects

Realistic renders and animations from your models can maximise the impact of your project and help secure contracts. A landscape architect recently asked about controlling the visibility of multiple objects within Revit, such as a set of traffic lights. Everyone knows the sequence of traffic lights – right?

Easy enough, but displaying the Red and Amber lights simultaneously requires some customisation. What follows is one solution. Here you see a traffic light family with a separate lens for the Red, Green and Amber lights, the visibility of each is controlled with a Visibility Parameter.

In this tutorial, I will guide you through all the steps you need to take to control the visibility of different objects so that they behave as they would in real-life.
