As of today, the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection, already filled to the brim with essential software, is welcoming a whole host of extra products, including Advance Steel, Fabrication CADmep and Dynamo, and all for no extra charge.
The new products added are:
Those involved in the structural industry will be delighted to see Advance Steel become part of the collection, as this will allow them to easily create workflows between this product and other AEC tools. Notably, Revit models can be exported to Advance Steel, and with access to both within one package, it is now easier than ever to synchronise your BIM data.
The same process can be carried out with another of the existing AEC Collection products, Navisworks, meaning your 3D structural models can be easily transposed into construction projects. In its own right, Advance Steel is an incredibly powerful tool, with a range of cutting edge design tools for accurate steel detailing.
Robot Structural Analysis Professional is another essential structures product, and also contributes to handy workflow combinations. Structural Bridge Design is also a welcome addition, and along with several of the existing AEC Collection products, will enable users to access world class bridge construction functions. Starting with Infraworks 360 or Civil 3D, and ending with Revit modelling, this workflow is a great example of the capabilities of the collection.
Another brilliant product that is now incorporated is Dynamo Studio, which will save you lots of time on your BIM design processes by letting you automate lengthy tasks, and by making it easier for you to collaborate with your fellow team members. Meanwhile, Revit Live is the must have cloud service which allows architects to fully explore their creations, also part of the collection.
Despite the arrival of all of these great extra tools, the Autodesk AEC Collection will still be available for the same price. There are also no unnecessary complications for existing subscribers; you will gain access to your new product entitlements immediately.
The AEC Collection, inaugurated last year, is already a stunning collection of Autodesk products. It includes Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and many more, ensuring a wide range of design needs are catered for. Alongside the Product Design and the Media & Entertainment collections, it has been part of a successful attempt to make it easier for businesses to get access to all of the products they need.
