3rd November 2020 – GRAITEC, an international BIM, Fabrication and Design software developer for AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner across Europe, is delighted to announce the acquisition of CADPOINT, a U.K based company that provides Autodesk solutions for the AEC Industry to a broad range of clients located across the United Kingdom.
CADPOINT, operating from premises in Crowthorne Berkshire, provides consulting, support and training to companies across a broad range of industry sectors. This latest acquisition will further enhance Graitec’ s position in one of its key markets in Europe.
With recent investment from Apax partners, Graitec continues to show its appetite for expansion and looks forward to serving an increasing number of customers across Europe and beyond.

Navisworks Clashes: users can visualize directly inside Revit, Clashes on Revit models detected by Navisworks. Thus, the workflow starts from Revit models send to Navisworks for launching a clash detection. Then, this test detection must be exported in an XML files to be read by the Powerpack.
This new command is a powerful functionality to export Revit Project and Revit views into multiple target formats in one single step. As Revit natively proposed, our tools propose to users many export format: GbXml, IFC, NWC, DWF, DWFX, DGN, DWG, DXF, SAT, FBX, Image...
Users will be available to select in this dialog box, multiple Revit projects or Revit views, and associate the target format expected. All exported files will be generated in the output folder set.
A new feature enables users to convert all Grids among a Revit Project into Revit symbol, making them visible in a 3D view. By picking one grid, the 3D grids feature will convert all Revit grids and propose user to open a specific Revit view. Grids will be then visible in 3D views, and the level of those ones could be set through native Revit instance parameter of the symbol.
The previous command Move XY was improved in this version, offering some new options to place exactly where you point a selected object. After selecting an object, users will be able to enter exact coordinates where to move or copy the elements and this, according to any system referential existing in Revit.

During the generation of the transversal bars of the RC beam, the remaining distance between different spacings in the middle of the span does not allow the stirrups to be distributed at regular intervals using the default incremental step. In this case, different solutions can be used, for example, creating a package with smaller spacing in the middle of the span. The latest version of the module offers the possibility to choose the method of an automatic transversal bar spacing compensation.
A new option allows the user to generate longitudinal support bars on the same layer as assembly bars. This new option offers the possibility to distribute support bars in the cross-section in the same layer as the assembly bars and not in a 2nd layer.
More possibilities to define the position of splice bars: the user can decide if splice bars should be defined on both edge support or only at the left or at the right one. In addition, the value for defining the distance from the face of support where the bottom longitudinal bars are discontinued. A negative value can be entered, which allows that such bars are stopped inside the support.
Longitudinal bars extended over all spans: ore possibilities to define the position of splice bars: a new option allows us to define if the extension of longitudinal bars across all spans applies to all layers or to the first layer only. This option can be set separately for the top and the bottom bars and it is available only if the option for defining longitudinal bars as common for many spans is active.

The Pushover is a method to predict the non-linear behavior of a structure under seismic loads. It can help demonstrate how progressive failure in buildings really occurs and identify the mode of final failure. The advantage of the pushover analysis is that the material nonlinearity and plastic hinging are considered but without the complications of the dynamic behavior.

Easy definition of the Pushover analysis available directly from the Project Browser. As soon as you create the Pushover Analyse, the corresponding load cases will be created. Go to the property list and set the right parameters!
Powerful definition of Plastic Hinges, manually or automatically: hinges are available directly from the properties list of elements. Users can define manually the characteristics of those plastic hinges or select the automatic definition based on the geometry for steel elements or based on real reinforcement definition for RC members. Those plastic hinges can be displayed on the 3D model!
Automatic generation of Pushover loads with extensive parametrization capabilities: different types of horizontal loads distributions, loads direction selection, point of application, loads eccentricity (defined by percentage) … After generation, users can control those loads on screen!
Wide range of available results: as with normal static calculations, FEM results such as displacements and internal forces are available. The results can be checked as for the non-linear calculations for each of the subsequent calculation steps. Users can also generate the pushover force-displacement curve and display the graphically the status of the plastic hinges for each loading step. Dedicated results tables are also available in the report generator.
